We are on our way of spring cleaning we have our bearms all clipped back and mulched.  Just now waiting for them to grow.  Its going to look so nice this year.  Over the weekend we were at on of our favorites stores getting rock to put around our trees.  The boys saw there teacher and said Ella is her that is there daughter that they just adopted in Dec of 2010 from china.  Oh she is so cute.
It has been a while since I have posted.  Been busy with the four boys and such.  On March 9th Conner had a little program at school.  Randy took off work early so both of us could go.  We figured that we had better do a few things that would be closed by the time we got back .  Later after school we were going to eat waffles at a little dinner in Stapleton.  We went to tractor supply and got our dog food that we needed and that had this little cut Bunny's.  Randy let me get them for the boys. We had to bring them home before we left.  We walk in the door and we both said oh crap.......  Candy our little chihuahua got into peanut butter chocolate girl scout cookies that Randy forgot to put away.  We called the vet and they told us to put peroxide down them so they would vomit.  So we did and candy did vomit but Boomer did not. We did not know if he ate them as well.  Now it is 2:30 and we needed to get headed the program started at 3.  I sent Randy with the camera to Conner's program while I rushed the two small dogs to the vet.  Candy had to be sedated while they pored charcoal down her and for Boomer they made him vomit and there was no chocolate in him, so he was okay.  Candy took a few days to get better, but it sure did not stop her from trying to get junk.

I have been looking online reading other peoples blogs getting a sence of things.  Looking at photos of waiting children and my heart breaks for them.  I wish we have been married for longer and that we had our finances in order.  We do have a plan, but for some of those children it will be to late.  I pray that they will find a forever home.

Love to cook

My family loves Lasagna so i tryed something different.

Mexi-Corn Lasagna
South-of-the-border flavors--picante-seasoned ground beef, corn, shredded cheese and chili powder--are layered in between corn tortillas for a saucy, pleasing casserole.

1 container (16 ounces) cottage cheese
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves, crushed
1 pound ground beef
1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
1 cup Pace® Picante Sauce
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 cup frozen whole kernel corn
12 corn tortillas (6-inch)
4 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese (about 1 cup)
  • Stir the cottage cheese, eggs, Parmesan cheese and oregano in a medium bowl.
  • Cook the beef in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat until it's well browned, stirring often to break up the meat. Pour off any fat. Stir the tomato sauce, picante sauce, chili powder and corn in the skillet. Heat through.
  • Arrange 6 tortillas in the bottom and up the sides of a 3-quart shallow baking dish. Top with half of the beef mixture. Spoon the cottage cheese mixture over all. Top with the remaining tortillas and beef mixture.
  • Bake at 400°F. for 30 minutes or it's until hot and bubbling. Sprinkle with the Cheddar cheese. Let stand for 10 minutes. Serve with additional picante sauce.
I just doubled it for are family size. And i used multi grain torts.  It was a big hit.

I had a few questions, so I called Holt in Omaha.  They were very nice and they answered all the questions that I had .  I was wondering when we should start for our home study.  We will not be married for 5 years tell May 2013 she said that we could start in march it takes 4-6 weeks for it to be done and its good for 6mo.  Also i was wonder what had to be done for the boys to go with us or if there was a limit on how many people that could go. They just need a passport. No limit on how many people that go.

                                                                  The happy couple

We dated for while before we took the plung.  He is everything that I ever needed and wanted.  I have had my fare share of triles and errors.  Alot has happened for us alone just this year .  I took care of Randy grandmother she lived with us for 2 years and prior to that I took care of grandfather and grandmother at there home.  She fell and went to a nursing home and I know what goes on in them.  I used to work in that field.  Dont get me wrong some are very well, but if you have family able to help and care for love ones.  That is the path, that Randy and I took we took her out of the nursing home.  She came and lived with us.  She was a part of our family.
This was taken right before we moved into the new house.

MY PRAYER ROCK

IM YOUR LITTLE PRAYER ROCK AND THIS IS WHAT ILL DO.
JUST PUT ME ON YOUR PILLOW TILL THE DAY IS THROUGH.
THEN TURN BACK THE COVERS AND CLIMB INTO BED
AND WHACK, YOUR LITTLE PRAYER ROCK WILL HIT YOU IN THE HEAD.
THEN YOU WILL REMEMBER AS THE DAY IS THROUGH TO KNEEL AND SAY YOUR PRAYER.
THEN WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED, JUST PUT YOUR PRAYER ROCK ON THE FLOOR,
ILL STAY THERE THROUGH THE NIGHT
TO GIVE YOU HELP ONCE MORE,
CLUNK, YOU STUB YOUR TOE ON YOUR PRAYER ROCK;
SO YOU WILL THEN REMEMBER YOUR MORNING PRAYER BEFORE YOU GO ON
YOUR WAY
PUT ME BACK ON YOUR PILLOW WHEN YOUR BED IS MADE
AND YOUR CLEVER LITTLE PRAYER ROCK
WILL CONTINUE IN YOUR AID.
BECAUSE YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER CARES AND LOVES YOU SO HE WANTS YOU TO REMEMBER TO TALK TO HIM.

Working on life modifacations

We had a opportunity to take a class that Randy's parent already took.  It was the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace  University.  We learned several life altering lessons.  For one we learn how not to be normal.  Because normal is BROKE.  We learned about saving money, how to pay off debt and get a 911 fund set aside.  To learn more find  a class near you, It is worth it!

What jumped out at me during this is some flash back of what I have wanted  to do help children.  I thought I was going down the foster parenting path, but in this class the questions was asked what do you want to do when you have paid off your debt?  One of the answers was ADOPTION.    We pondered about it and Randy was so gaga gaga over little babies in our church.  And then we found out that my sons teacher is going to China to bring home her baby girl.  My thought was American normal people can adopt.

One night Randy and I were up talking about maybe adopting.  I didn't think that we would be able to, so I was up all night with prayer to show me answers to the question that I had.  I found them and then I talked to Randy with what i found.  He called Holt for a few more answers.  So we have to be married for 5 years and have a little more income.  With prayers this is what was found that I will have my surgery and get some training to go back to work.  A little scary for me because i have not worked outside of the home for 10 years Yikes!  Randy is trying to get a better job.  And lots more plans going on.

Little Man

Conner with his hair long.  He has always had his hair long only went in for trims to get out of face
